CSNA urges residents to comment on three current issues in our community:
1. Breakwater structures (comment by Dec. 11)
The resident at 2715 Sheridan Road has filed an application to construct breakwater structures extending 125 feet into Lake Michigan. This application is pending before the Army Corps of Engineers and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR). You can find the DNR Public Notice and the application at this link.

Local Charities will benefit from American Legion Post 42 Pancake Breakfast October 31!
Join members of Post 42 to enjoy a wonderful all-you-can-eat breakfast while supporting local charities!

CSNA sent a letter to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) commenting on the proposed plans to build a Lakefront Athletic and Recreational Complex (LARC) on Northwestern University's landfill. We object to the plan as proposed. CSNA has endorsed the Rivers, Lakes and Streams Act and public trust doctrine in commenting on NU’s proposed expansion and construction of a lakefront athletic and recreational complex.

Canal Shores Golf Course invites you to join neighbors and friends in the community for an evening of food and drink under the stars to raise funds to support continued improvements and programming at the course. Enjoy food and drink from neighborhood partners - Bluestone, Beth's Little Bake Shop, and the American Legion. There will be live music from the legendary bluesman Chainsaw Dupont.

Join neighbors and friends for an afternoon in the sun and evening under the stars at Canal Shores. Saturday, September 19th at 3pm. Food, fun, and activities for the whole family. Activities include circus workshops, a giant climbing wall, a late night movie, roller skating, a challenge course, a backpacking workshop, a raffle and other prizes, and a Circus Under the Stars evening show presented by Actors Gymnasium. This is a cooperative effort with the City Parks and Rec Department for indoor activites, and a number of sponosrs underwriting programs and refreshments. Join the fun! Rain or shine, there will be activities outside and inside for all!
Canal Shores Golf course is hosting the event on the fairway.

Evanston Township High School Foundation will host the Annual Wildkit Golf Outing and Happy Hour Bash, Friday, September 11 at Canal Shores Golf Course.
The foundation raises funds to support special programs and fund capital projects at the school.
