Blair Kamin's Chicago Tribune "Tower" Columns

A collection of Chicago Tribune architecture critic Blair Kamin's numerous columns and articles on the 708 Church Street "Tower" project, including his recent pieces, can be found online by clicking this link. Kamin originally wrote in favor of the project but has also voiced reservations, and has taken a more balanced view this winter and spring, possibly even attending at least one session at the Civic Center. On May 6, he wrote, "Opponents are right to challenge this project as a threat to the delicate scale of their downtown." Most recently, he writes approvingly of postponing the project in order to give architect Larry Booth more time to refine the proposal.
