Front arches and press box of former Dyche Stadium at Ryan Field

Above:  As of April 26, 2024, the former arched entryway, with the press box added in 1997 defying gravity, was all that remained of the former century-old Northwestern University football stadium on Central Street.

This has been the status for weeks, creating a ghostly spectacle that intrigues the community. While reported official explanations were of unspecified difficulties encountered during demolition, skeptics theorize that it is an artistic or political statement. Methinks the latter, even if unintentional.
