The Crown Jewel Sparkles at Night

The stretch of Central Street between Green Bay and Hartrey was frequently referred to during the Central Street Plan process as the "crown jewel" of the road for its beloved "village" feel, anchored by a branch library and post office, and a collection of eclectic buildings and shops. Here the area is seen looking west from above Green Bay on a beautiful summer's eve.

The Morgante Wilson building at 2834 Central

Wonderful example of adaptive reuse, this conversion of the old Saxophone Shop store by the firm of Morgante-Wilson Architects, Ltd., now serves as their headquarters at 2834 Central Street. This picture was taken in 2007 when the old firehouse was still standing, and before the firm had finished out the building with a balcony and landscaping.
