What is this Environment forum?

This forum is for any and all environmental news and discussion relating to the Central Street Neighborhood. If it has to do with our air, our water, our soil, our climate, our plants, our animals — this is the place. Obviously this can include matters that relate to larger areas such as Evanston, greater Chicago, the Great Lakes, Illinois, the planet...

However there is currently a separate forum for "Sustainability" because -- well, I am not sure why because. Because Jim set it up that way. And also sustainability has become such a buzzword in itself. I suppose my forthcoming story on the giant possum that waddled through my yard a couple weeks ago in broad daylight will go here in Environment, but an article on turning off exterior lights at night will go under Sustainability...

Does this distinction make sense? What do you think?
