Grab A Shovel

A list of the $38 million in "shovel-ready projects" for which the City of Evanston has requested federal stimulus-bill funding is available online courtesy of Stimulus Watch, an organization tracking the spending. You can also vote on projects you think are critical or not. A lot of the projects seem to be already in progress, in which case it's really just a municipal request for money, not something that's going to generate anything new.  To see the list, click this link or paste the following into your browser:
