Congressional candidate forum Wed. Feb 4

In 2026, for the first time in almost three decades, we have a contested open seat for Congress in our 9th District. This gerrymandered district, drawn to favor a Democrat, spans from the Chicago lakefront out to northwestern suburbs like McHenry, but includes all of Evanston. In 7 weeks, Illinois will hold a primary election for established parties to choose nominees.

We invite you to come to a live candidate forum in our neighborhood between top Democratic contenders* for this important position: 

Over the past 18 years, CSNA has earned a reputation for some of the most provocative and well-attended candidate forums in Evanston. We focus on substance. As elections turn ever more on packaged ads and mailings, we believe it continues to be important to see and hear real differences between the candidates live and in person. Democracy also depends on now-and-future elected officials knowing that the public is paying attention.
