City of Evanston $248M draft 2013 budget now out

City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz on Friday, October 12, 2012 released the City of Evanston's proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2013, totaling $248,034,384. The General Fund budget, which typically gets the most attention but is only about 1/3 of all City expenditures, is projected to have a deficit of nearly a million dollars.
 
To balance the budget, the City Manager suggests options to the City Council including a net reduction of 5.27 personnel positions.
