Pumpkin Sale on Central Street to Benefit Schoolkids

The good work of the Evanston School Children’s Clothing Association (ESCCA) will benefit this Saturday, Oct. 13, from what's become a neighborhood tradition, the annual pumpkin sale sponsored by Coldwell Banker held in the real estate agency's parking lot at 2929 Central Street in Evanston, across the street from Hartigan’s Ice Cream Shoppe. ESCCA, an all-volunteer organization, each year provides a full wardrobe of clothing and shoes to 500-600 Evanston/Skokie District 65 K-8 school children in need. The Pumpkin Patch sale, from 8 AM to 2 PM, is one of the group's only fundraising events. While they have a ton (literally) of pumpkins, they go fast!
