Evanston budget input needed

The City of Evanston focuses this week on its quarter-billion-dollar budget for the 2013 Fiscal Year, which begins on January 1, 2013, with several opportunities for citizen input:

• The City Council conducts its Goal Setting Session in the Council chamber, Civic Center 2d floor, 2100 Ridge Ave., tonight at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18.

• There will be a Citizen Budget Input Session in the City Council chambers at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 19.

• The City is also asking residents to submit budget ideas in multiple other ways:

  1. Online, at www.cityofevanston.org/budget
  2. by mail: City Manager’s Office, 2100 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL 60201
  3. by email at budgetinquiries@cityofevanston.org
  4. on the phone, by calling 311
  5. on Facebook; or
  6. on Twitter.
