Cartouches at 2800 Central

These carved stone cartouches were affixed to the exterior of 2800 Central (originally a restaurant, then a West Coast Video, then a Blockbuster Video, and now a restaurant again) believed to date from the early 20th Century or earlier, salvaged from a demolished building, and earned it a mention by Landmarks Illinois as a noteworthy "preservation resource." However, since the time I posted this, the building got a makeover and apparently these pieces could not be salvaged. Sic transit, etc. Am glad I snapped this pic for posterity.
