This from Ald. Jane Grover this evening that will affect traffic on Green Bay and Central Thurs. and Friday, Sept. 25 and 25.

On Thursday, September 25 and Friday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., ComEd will be working in a utility manhole to repair a cable fault at the southeast corner of the intersection of Central St. and Green Bay Rd.

Below is a list of locations and limits of the affected areas:

1.       Central Street (Eastbound) – Traffic will be reduced to one lane just east of Prairie Ave. on Central St. The right lane will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

2.       Green Bay Road (Southbound) – The left middle lane will be closed at the intersection of Green Bay Rd. and Central St. for motorists traveling southbound. However, traffic will flow from the right lane and vehicles will be allowed to turn left heading eastbound on Central St.

3.       Green Bay Road (Northbound) – There will be a modified traffic pattern for vehicles traveling north on Green Bay Rd. The left turning lane will be closed going westbound on Central St. Both lanes of traffic will remain open with left turns being allowed from the left lane only.

4.       Central Street (Westbound) – Westbound through traffic on Central St. will not be impacted with the exception of vehicles turning left to go southbound on Green Bay Rd. The left lane going southbound on Green Bay Rd. will be closed and traffic will be directed to the right lane.

Motorists should expect delays. During construction, flaggers will be on site to assist vehicular traffic.

Please note: There will not be any power outages associated with this work.
