Word in political circles this week is that the Cook County Clerk's office, which administers suburban elections, is still looking for folks to serve as an election judge in Evanston on Tuesday, Nov. 2, due to some late cancellations. I cannot vouch for this, but the Clerk still has its online application web page open.
Serving as a judge is a long day but a vital civic service. It pays up to $170 depending on your training. Apply at the Clerk's website.
