Police advisory for 6th Ward

After many weeks without a Residential Burglary in the 6th Ward, our neighbors in the Hillside Neighborhood Watch were hit on this past Wednesday, October 13th. The first incident occurred in the 2700 block of Crawford where an unknown subject(s) made force entry into a home using a pry tool on the rear door (jewelry taken).

The time frame for this incident was between 4:40pm – 8:10pm. The second incident occurred between 6am – 8pm on the same day just around the corner on the 2600 block of Hillside Lane . The subject(s) forced entry into a first floor window of a home where unknown items were taken.

Officer Loyce Spells, Evanston Police Department (EPD), sent this notice to the 6th Ward Neighborhood Watch groups earlier today. We are both urging residents to report suspicious activity in the area. Do not hesitate to call the EPD non-emergency number, 847 866-5000. If you see something more than a suspicion call 911.
