“READY, SET, RECYCLE!” - A Free Electronics Recycling event on Oct 2

READY, SET, RECYCLE!” a Free Electronics Recycling event, will be presented by the Evanston Environmental Association (EEA) and the City of Evanston on Saturday, October 2, from 9am – 12 noon. The event is part of the annual Evanston Green Living Festival put on by the EEA and Evanston the same day, October 2.

READY, SET, RECYCLE!” will give residents of Evanston and nearby communities the opportunity to securely dispose of their home electronics at no charge.

Evanston Township High School (ETHS) will be the site for “READY, SET, RECYCLE!” The school’s parking lot on the building’s south side, near Lake Street and Grey Avenue, will serve as the drop-off point. People dropping off items for recycling must enter the high school grounds from Lake Street and NOT Church Street.

Vintage Tech Recyclers, a respected Romeoville-based recycling and asset recovery company, will provide the collection, transportation, and recycling services for the event. Vintage Tech's computer recycling program includes secure software and data removal from computers ensuring that your confidential information remains just that - confidential.

Items eligible for recycling at the event include desktop and laptop computers, monitors, TVs, printers, VCRs, and scanners. For a complete list of items that are eligible for recycling, directions to the event, and an event map, go to www.evanstongreenfest.org/recycling.html.
