The city of Evanston for budgetary reasons is considering closing the Evanston Ecology Center.  Fans of the Center can show their support for this wonderful facility by signing an online petition.  Just click here to go to a new "Support the Evanston Ecology Center" web site.  Once on the home page, click on "Sign Our Petition in Support of the Ecology Center".
 
The Ecology Center is a unique and invaluable Evanston facility that is the focal point for numerous green classes, camps, programs, events, and associations.  Thousands of Evanston residents benefit from the Center's programs every year.  Supporters of the Ecology Center are encouraged not to wait in signing the petition because the 2010 city of Evanston budget is scheduled to be finalized in the next 2 weeks.
