Should residents avoid those endorsed by the Evanston Fire fighters PAC?

At the Mayorial forum Liz Tisdahl stated she recieved $500 and support of the fire fighters local 742 PAC, who are helping her. ( see Evanstonnow web site for a video )

Also Jane Grover has on her web site  stated she has been endorsed by this group.

I do not know who they are endosing inthe 6th ward.
( maybe some one will coment?)

I think the above individuals should not take the endorsement of the PAC and return any funds they have or might have recieved. I would ask them to retun the funds and not use their members for campaign work.

While it is not illegal, who are the above individuals working for the citizens or fire fighters?

I think voters should vote for others if these individuals do not return the funds and continue to use the fire fighters in their campaigns.

I have proudly accepted the support of Evanston Firefighters Association, Local 742, in the 6th Ward aldermanic race.

Mark - how much money did they give you?
As I stated you should return the money, we do not need future officials taking money from PAC's!
If the concept is beyond your understanding I am not certain you should be elected as a council member.  Next year the city is going to have to cut employees and programs, since you may have taken funds from the fire fighters will you be willing to cut anything in their department?
Jane Grover in one of her statements was saying she wanted to privatize the trash collection, what about the fire department, what does she want to cut there?  She also is being supported by the firefighters.
Taking their money and support is NOT illegal, but it is clear you are not really supporting the interest of us taxpayers since now you have dual interests.
