Eastwood Developers Ask City for 2 More Years

On the agenda of the City Council's Planning & Development Committee for Mon., Oct. 27, is a request for an additional two-year extension for "1700-1722 Central St. Approved Planned Development." That is the long name for the "Eastwood" project on the former Evanston Theatre site, currently a vacant lot.

Planned Developments in Evanston are granted by Ordinance and ordinarily must be started by dates certain. The PD for this project, Ordinance 7-O-07, currently expires April 5, 2009.

The committee, which consists of all members of the Council meets at 7 pm in the Council chambers at the Civic Center.
