Best Wishes to Jane Grover!

On Dec. 4, Evanston 7th Ward Ald. Jane Grover announced her resignation effective December 31 to accept the position of Outreach Principal at the  the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning .  At CMAP she will oversee engagement with regional elected officials, civic and business groups. CMAP is the official regional planning organization for seven northeastern Illinois counties. 

In her announcement, Grover said, “I look forward to serving our larger, regional community by helping to advance CMAP’s mission."

Grover was first elected as 7th Ward alderperson 2009. 

At the Evanston City Council  meeting on Monday, Dec. 14, the Mayor, representatives of Council, and the public recognized Grover for her service and commitment to the 7th Ward.

Central Street Neighbors joins all in wishing Grover well in her new position. CSNA has worked closely with Grover over the years. She has been an advocate for the ward and for improvements on Central Street and responsive to her constituents on many issues over the years.

CSNA President John Walsh said,   "Ald. Grover reached out to individuals and community groups in the 7th Ward to ensure that all points of view were inlcuded before action was taken. She was collaborative in her work and always returned calls and emails. We thank her for her service to our community."
