Register now for Junior Golf Clinics and Camps at Canal Shores!

Registration is now open for 2015 summer youth/junior golf camps and clinics at Canal Shores Golf Course. Programs for youth from pre-K through 8^th grade at all skill levels are provided under an agreement between the Evanston Wilmette Golf Course Association and the Golf Practice.

Sessions are designed to help youth develop skills and friendships; instill an appreciation of the game of golf; and offer young people an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and this wonderful green space.

Some 400 youth are expected to sign up for programs this year. Funds are actively being raised to offer special programming and scholarships for children who would not otherwise be able to participate.

Afternoon golf clinics run May 20 through Sept. 30. Half day camps run June 8 through Aug. 7. Full day camps run June 15 through Aug. 7.

The Evanston Wilmette Golf Course Association, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, was formed in 1919 to manage the operations of the 18-hole Canal Shores Golf Course under a special lease agreement with the City of Evanston and Village of Wilmette. The course runs along the North Shore Channel on land owned by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District from Green Bay Road to the Baha'i Temple near Wilmette Harbor.
