Shop to Support Local Good Causes April 21

It's not as if anyone needs an excuse to go shopping on Central Street, but on Saturday, April 21 you can feel extra good about it. April 21 is a Community Shopping Day sponsored by Central Street Neighbors Association and Central Street Business Association. A portion of proceeds from purchases made at participating businesses will be given to your choice of participating LOCAL charities and not-for-profit organizations:
 

• Business Alliance for a Sustainable Evanston
• C.A.R.E. for the Evanston Shelter
• Center for Independent Futures – Evanston
• Dreams Delivered - Woman's Club of Evanston
• Evanston Connections for the Homeless
• Evanston Environmental Association
• Evanston Public Library Friends
• Foundation 65
• Haven Middle School PRA
• Interfaith Action
• Mitchell Museum of the American Indian

Print out the flier at the website (also available from participating businesses and charities) and bring the flyer with you when you shop on Central Street on April 21. Hand it to the cashier when you make your purchase, making sure to select which charity you want to benefit. A percentage of your purchase will be donated to that organization by that Central Street business.
