City of Evanston facilities' energy use goes green

The City of Evanston is going greener today by using Renewable Energy Certificates for 100% of its facilities. The city is using this renewable energy for the day in honor of the first Evanston Green Ball tonight at the Levy Center.
 
These certificates are supplied by Constellation Energy. In April, the Evanston City Council voted to purchase electricity, derived from 100% renewable energy, from Constellation.
